Inora plays a significant role in group certification system by providing their service to small and marginal farmers by involving themselves in Internal Control System (ICS).

Objectives of INORA as a Service Provider

National Center of Organic Farming (NCOF), Gaziabad under Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India has selected INORA as Service Provider. The main objectives of service provider are as follows
	To develop a conceptual frame work about the principle of organic farming, process of certification and inspection.
	Use of permissible organic inputs.
	Role of Certification in Organic Farming.
Target : To convert 1,500 farmers over 1000 hector area for Organic Farming and Certifying these farmers under small growers groups scheme.

Role and Responsibility of INORA as a Service Provider

	Motivating farmers to form organic farmers groups \ clusters.
	To act as team leader of Internal control system and liaison with certification agencies.
	To maintain records.
	To act as technology messenger and to advice farmers on package of practices, technology package, imparting training on preparation of on farm organic inputs and educating farmers on do and don'ts on organic farming.
	To promote organic farming concept.

The Agriculture in Pune district has much variations in it as compared to others in Maharashtra. It includes 4 among the 7 agricultural climate zones in Maharashtra.
